FASTPASS -
Disney® has made an effort to do something about those long lines. It's called a Disney FASTPASS. For the most popular rides, a FASTPASS can cut your time in line from over an hour to just a few minutes. How a Disney® FASTPASS Works -
The Disney® FASTPASS stands in line for you electronically, and it doesn't cost an extra penny. Instead of standing in line for 90 minutes or more, you pick up a FASTPASS that holds your place, so to speak, issuing a ticket that lets you go right in through a separate line later in the day.The Disney® FASTPASS is a free service that comes with your ticket price, so there's no reason not to use it. Follow the next steps to see how a Disney FASTPASS works, find out where to get a Disney FASTPASS and learn how to use it.
Things You Need to Know About the Disney® FASTPASS
- Keep your entry ticket. You can't get a FASTPASS without it. That's one of the reasons you see so many people with a lanyard around their necks - it makes a good place to keep your ticket and FASTPASS safe and dry.
- Popular rides stop issuing Disney® FASTPASS when the line is full for the day. Pick them up early.
- Each person needs their own Disney FASTPASS
- A Disney FASTPASS is technically good for entry during a one-hour window that's marked on it, but in practice you can use it any time after that.
Every FASTPASS attraction has a sign similar. The shape and color is different at every ride, but the words will be the same. It's usually near the entrance, but if you can't find it, just ask a cast member.

Fun Tips -
Shops on Disneyland's Main Street often open before the rest of the park, and they're not as busy then as they are in the evening. You can check your purchases until you leave the park, pick them at the booth up near the exit gate, and you won't have to carry them around all day. Ask the salesperson where to take them.Eat your meals before peak hours - restaurants will be less busy.
